Yfilios project
Yfilios Project is born from an original idea of the Greek pianist Leandros Pasias, in an attempt to connect different musical styles in a multinational music group that has its roots in Jazz, with the ideal of bringing diversity to their sound and repertoire, as well as variety in genres within the project.
In the year 2018 Leandros recruited Marína ósk for a concert in Thessaloniki which was held in December 2018.
The band consists of experienced and confirmed musicians.
This membership includes three exceptional artists graduated from the Jazz Department of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where they met Leandros Pasias. Apart from Icelandic singer Marína Ósk, the band includes the French saxophonist Adrien Losco and the Indian bassist Abhishek Mangla. the talented Giorgos Klountzos-Chrysidis plays the drums but he’s originally from Thessaloniki, and used to study and live in Paris, and other places in France.
Their sound consists of an amalgam of modern jazz harmonies blended with ethnic elements and they play all original compositions.
